As the Olympic break is now over, it’s time to take another look at how some current and former Worcester pro players are doing statistically during the 2025-2026 season. For the North American pro leagues, any player in their league’s top 20 gets a mention. For the European leagues, it’s the top ten. Goaltenders are listed only if they meet their league’s qualifying minimums.
All statistics and rankings are current as of February 26th.
There’s only one Worcester hockey alumnus making the list in the NHL, with Vegas’ Tomas Hertl‘s 11 power play goals tying for fifth.
There are two skaters making the list for the AHL, with Chicago’s Yanick Turcotte ranking eighth with 106 penalty minutes and Belleville’s Keean Washkurak ranking 16th with 90 penalty minutes. For goaltenders, Bridgeport’s Henrik Tikkanen‘s 2.55 goals against average ties for 11th.
In the ECHL, several current Railers make the post, starting with captain Anthony Repaci, ranking second with three overtime goals and tying for 14th with four game-winners. Drew Callin is tied for fifth with eight power play goals, Anthony Callin‘s three shorthanded goals tie for third, Matt DeMelis‘ two overtime goals also tie for third, and Lincoln Hatten‘s 84 penalty minutes rank 14th.
For goaltenders, Henrik Tikkanen gets the rare double-league mention as his two ECHL shutouts tie for 11th in the league. Parker Gahagen has two top-20s, with his 2.41 goals against average and .919 save percentage both tying for 15th.
For former Railers in the ECHL, Orlando’s Reece Newkirk gets four mentions with his 51 points tying for third, his 32 assists tying for tenth, his seven power play goals tying for 11th, and 19 goals tying for 16th. Tahoe’s Devon Paliani gets two mentions, with his 23 goals tying for sixth and his 45 points tying for 17th. Kansas City’s Jack Randl also gets two mentions, with his 19 goals tying for 16th and his plus-16 rating tying for 20th.
Those getting a single mention are Bloomington’s Eddie Matsushima, tying for third with two overtime goals, Cole Fraser‘s 104 penalty minutes for Greenville, ranking fourth, and goaltender Ken Appleby‘s 13 wins for Cincinnati, tying for 18th.
In the SPHL, Tim Faulkner of the Pensacola Ice Flyers gets two mentions as his plus-nine rating ties for 11th and his 94 penalty minutes tie for sixth. Current Railers forward Khristian Acosta had 75 penalty minutes with the Roanoke Rail Yard Dawgs, tying for 17th in the league.
Carlos Fornaris of the Monroe Moccasins gets three mentions in the FPHL with his 39 assists tying for sixth, his 57 points tying for tenth, and his plus-27 rating tying for seventh. Twin City Thunderbirds forward Zach White‘s 20 goals tie for 16th.
Looking overseas, Cole Coskey hits the list twice in Czechia2, with his 23 goals ranking second and his 44 points tying for fourth. Konrad Abeltshauser plus-19 in the DEL ties for ninth, and Max Newton hits the list four times in the DEL2 with his 28 goals tying for third, his 41 assists tying for tops in the league, and he leads the league with 69 points. His plus-30 rating is fourth best.
Four former Railers are among the league leaders in the EIHL, with Mitchell Balmas leading the league with 27 goals and 53 points, and his 26 assists tie for fifth. Garet Hunt leads the league with 140 penalty minutes, and Zsombor Garát plus-23, tying for seventh. Goaltender Eamon McAdam leads the league with a .942 save percentage, his 1.91 goals against average ranks third, and his two shutouts tie for fourth.
Austin Osmanski‘s 66 penalty minutes in the ICEHL rank sixth, while over in Norway, goaltender Mitch Gillam is tying for the league lead with 25 wins, and placing third in both goals against average (1.85) and save percentage (.919).
