Many former Worcester AHLers still free agents

With August winding down and hockey free agency now going on for the last eight weeks or so it’s a good time to take a look at which former Worcester AHL players who played during the 2016-2017 season that don’t have contracts signed for the upcoming season.

One player who fits the qualification isn’t listed, as former Worcester IceCats goaltender and AHL Hall of Fame member Frédéric Cassivi is likely not looking to get back into pro hockey after his one game stint as an emergency back-up goaltender for the ECHL’s Reading Royals.

The current free agent list is accurate as of just a few minutes before posting time. It is possible some of these players have signed contracts but these contracts have not been reported to the media yet. The league listed is the highest one the player was contracted last season to play in.
