WooSox Rewind: Worcester’s playoff hopes all but dead with 2-3 week at Lehigh Valley

The Worcester Red Sox went into last week’s series against the Lehigh Valley IronPigs at Coca-Cola Park needing at least five wins and some help from their International League East Division rivals, and they got neither in a rain-shortened series that sees them still in the middle of the standing with five teams between them at first place Durham. Only the first place team advances to the playoffs. With 16 games remaining they essentially need to win them all and get lots of help.
