Mitch Gillam named 210Sports “Railers Player of the Week”

The 210Sports “Railers Player of the Week” for the second week of the season goes to Mitch Gillam for recording the first shutout in franchise history. Gillam had 28 saves in the Railers 2-0 win in Manchester Saturday night.

The win was Gillam’s first in the ECHL.

The Peterborough, Ontario native graduated from Cornell University in 2017, and played two games last season for the Orlando Solar Bears. In his four seasons at Cornell Gillam went 47-28-17, with 11 shutouts, and led the Big Red to the NCAA tournament in 2017.

The 210Sports Railers Player of the Week goes to the player who performed best over the course of the previous seven days, or who reached a personal or team milestone.

210Sports would like to thank photographer Rich LaBlanc for the use of his photos.
