210Sports NCAA Football Week 9 Rankings

Not a whole lot of movement in the rankings this week. As a reminder, this is just my picks. If you disagree on what I’ve got, feel free to make your argument in the comments. Heck, post your own rankings there if you wish.

#1 – Alabama (8-0) Last week: #1
Had an easy 45-7 win over Tennessee, and there doesn’t appear to be any hurdles in front of them to the SEC Championship game. They are idle in week 9.

#2 – Penn State (7-0) Last week: #2
The Nittany Lions crushed rival Michigan 42-13 and now get to visit #6 Ohio State (6-1) in week 9. The next two games will make or break Penn State’s run to the College Football Playoff.

#3 – Georgia (7-0) Last week: #3
The Bulldogs were idle in week 8, not that it would have mattered in the long run as there was no way to move up had they played and won. They are at Florida (3-3) in week 9.

#4 – Clemson (6-1) Last week: #4
The Tigers were also idle in week 8, and with no movement in front of them they sit once again in the four spot. They host Georgia Tech (4-2) this week.

#5 – Wisconsin (7-0) Last week: #5
The Badgers kicked Maryland to the curb with a 38-13 win over the Terrapins. Wisconsin is likely going to need to win the Big Ten Football Championship Game to make the College Football playoff. They’re at Illinois in week 9

Week eight: was idle
Week nine: vs #2 Penn State (7-0)

#7 – Miami (Fla) (6-0) Last week: #8
Week eight: beat Syracuse 27-19
Week nine: at North Carolina (1-7)
