2000 vs Rochester 7-4 loss
(TICKER) Chris Taylor scored a hat trick and Jeremy Adduono added power-play and short-handed goals as the Rochester Americans defeated the Worcester IceCats, 7-4. Taylor had two game-tying goals for Rochester, one at 6:04 in the second period, and another at 2:43 in the third stanza, completing his hat trick with a power-play goal with five minutes left. Adduono, who led all teams with five points in the game, put the Americans ahead with a shorthanded goal at 6:56 in the third period and after a Worcester tally, scored the game-winning goal on a power play with 7:05 remaining in the third. Tom Askey made 37 saves including 16 in the third period to collect the win. Cody Rudkowsky allowed 6 goals on 28 shots and took the loss for Worcester.

2004 5-2 exhibition win vs Albany (Hart Center, Worcester, MA)
The Worcester IceCats and Albany River Rats used almost everyone in what would be their usual regular season line-ups in a 5-2 preseason win for the ‘Cats. Colin Hemingway opened up the scoring with a power play goal, assisted by Mike Mottau and Dennis Wideman, at 7:48 of the first period. Mottau then made it 2-0 with a power play goal of his own at 8:32, with Hemingway and Peter Sejna providing the helpers. In the second stanza Konstantin Zakharov made it a three goal lead at 3:27 with Aaron MacKenzie providing the lone assist. Aaron Voros got one back for Albany on the power play at 7:44, but Blake Evans’ unassisted tally at 8:40 got the IceCats three goal lead back. In the third Aleksander Suglobov made it 4-2 at 7:54. Johnny Pohl added an unassisted empty net goal 19:07 for the 5-2 final. Jason Bacashihua played the whole way for Worcester and made 22 saves on 24 shots.
